1. A paper drum is composed of various layers of paper, and a reasonable combination of paper is a basic condition for ensuring the compressive strength of the drum.


By testing the physical properties of paper at various levels, we can preliminarily calculate the compressive strength of the paper barrel, and then control the compressive strength of the paper barrel at each process in the production process based on the calculated compressive strength.


The ring compression strength of paper is the key to ensuring the compressive strength of paper drums, but other physical properties of paper cannot be ignored.


When the tensile strength of paper, especially corrugated paper, is insufficient, the paper barrel will experience a steady increase in force and deformation during the compression test, resulting in a high final value and a low effective value. After the box test, it will deform like an accordion. The waterproof performance of paper is also very important, especially for refrigerators, which require higher waterproof performance of paper. Sometimes, although the compressive strength of paper drums is high, due to the non waterproof nature of paper, paper drums stored in cold storage are prone to moisture absorption, causing collapse.


The production process of paper drums can also affect their compressive strength.

Through experiments, it has been found that under the same conditions, for every 1mm widening of the transverse compression line of the paper drum, the compressive strength of the drum decreases by 90N to 130N and the deformation increases by about 2mm. If the compression line is too wide, it will cause the force value of the drum to increase slowly during compression testing, resulting in a small effective force value and ultimately a large deformation amount. To ensure compressive strength, we should improve the production process as much as possible and reduce the impact of each process on the compressive strength of the paper drum.


4. It is also crucial to choose the appropriate corrugated shape based on the type of paper barrel box.

In people's consciousness, it is often believed that the larger the corrugated shape, the higher the compressive strength of the paper barrel, and it is easy to overlook the influence of corrugated shape on deformation. The larger the corrugated shape, the greater the compressive strength and deformation of the paper barrel; The smaller the corrugated shape, the lower the compressive strength and deformation of the paper bucket. If the paper bucket is too large but the ribs are small, it is easy for the bucket to be crushed during compression testing; The paper bucket is too small, but the corrugated shape is very large, which can cause excessive deformation during compression testing, a long buffering process, and a large deviation between the effective force value and the final force value.


The influence of moisture on the compressive strength of paper drums cannot be ignored.

The production environment, storage environment, usage environment, weather, climate and other factors of paper drums can all affect the moisture content of paper drums. To ensure the compressive strength of paper drums, external environmental factors should be avoided as much as possible from affecting the moisture content of paper drums.
