Danqi Paper Products Warm Reminder:
1. Strength and deformation design of paper drums
The strength of a paper drum is not only related to the raw materials used, but also to the thickness of the drum and the magnitude of the axial force acting on it. With a certain material and circumference, the vertical compression strength of the drum should be greater than 8000N, the lateral compression strength should be greater than 4000N, and the puncture strength should be greater than 10N
The deformation of paper drums is related to their stiffness, that is, whether the stiffness coefficient during design is reasonable. The size of the deformation of the paper barrel is directly proportional to the lateral pressure and circumferential length of the paper barrel, and inversely proportional to the elastic modulus, thickness, and number of layers of the paper barrel. That is to say, the greater the lateral pressure acting on the paper barrel and the longer the circumference, the greater the deformation of the paper barrel; The high elastic modulus, number of layers, and thickness of paper drums result in minimal deformation. From this, it can be concluded that in order to reduce the stress on the paper drum, the number of layers in the drum and the thickness of the cardboard should be increased. The higher the stiffness coefficient of the paper bucket, the greater the stiffness of the paper bucket. The material should be selected from cardboard with high elastic modulus, multiple layers of paper thickness, and a relatively small diameter structure.
2. Design of concave ring grooves on the upper and lower parts of the paper bucket:
To enhance the strength of the paper drum, it is fixed on the drum with a concave ring groove rolled at the lower mouth, also known as a drum hoop. The pole clamp at the barrel mouth is called the upper barrel clamp, and the lower (bottom) barrel clamp is called the lower barrel clamp. The main function of the upper barrel hoop is to ensure the strength of the paper barrel and maintain the roundness of the barrel mouth. ② Strengthening the closure device can ensure good positioning and interchangeability between the lid and the mouth of the barrel. ③ Position the mold of the paper barrel forming equipment (sealing machine). The function of the lower barrel hoop is to fix the barrel body and the plywood into a solid whole. Therefore, the shape and size design of the circular arc of the barrel hoop groove have a great impact on the quality of the paper barrel. The designed barrel hoop groove is too deep and has a small arc curvature, which makes it easy to crush the barrel body during the molding process; If the groove of the lower barrel hoop is too shallow and the arc curvature is too large, it directly affects the connection between the bottom structure of the barrel (and the barrel body), and during the process of forming and sealing the bottom, the deformation of the steel strip ring is large, and the amount of iron plate rolled to the barrel body is relatively small, resulting in a weak bond between the cardboard and the plywood. Therefore, when designing the arc shape and size of the upper and lower hoops of the paper barrel, various factors such as the strength of the selected cardboard, the thickness of the plywood, and the equipment used during the process of forming should be comprehensively considered.
3. Problems that are prone to occur with paper buckets and corresponding countermeasures
During the use of paper drums, problems arise due to significant deformation during transportation, causing the drum body and bottom to easily detach, especially at the connection between the drum bottom and the plywood, resulting in quality issues.
